This website is owned and operated by Yume Cookies. Throughout the site, the terms “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Yume Cookies.

Yume Cookies reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version applicable to your order is the version in effect at the time the order was placed.

1. Applicability

These General Terms and Conditions apply to every offer made by Yume Cookies and to every distance contract concluded between Yume Cookies and the Consumer via our website or email. By placing an order, the Consumer agrees to these terms.

2. The Offer & Orders

Right of Refusal: Yume Cookies reserves the right to refuse orders or services to any individual or entity at our sole discretion.

Changes to Offerings: All products listed on our Website are subject to change. We may add or remove items from our inventory at any time without notice. We are not liable to the consumer or any third party for any modification, price change, or discontinuance of a product.

Product Representation: We strive for accuracy in our product descriptions. However, images are for illustrative purposes only. Variations in color may occur due to digital display settings or lighting.

The Products: As our cookies are artisanal and handmade, some variations in shape and appearance are to be expected. A weight tolerance of 50g ± 3g per cookie is considered acceptable. 

Allergens: Detailed allergen information is provided for every product on our website. It is the Consumer's responsibility to review this information before purchasing. It is also the Consumer's responsibility to inform any third-party recipients (example friends, family, or guests) of the potential presence of allergens. We are not responsible for adverse reactions if the Consumer failed to read the ingredient list or failed to disclose allergies to third-party consumers.

3. Pricing and Payment

Pricing Policy: Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors and to cancel any orders resulting from such errors.

Payment Requirement: To maintain our production schedule and ensure timely delivery, full payment is required at the point of purchase. No order will be processed, and production will not commence, until we have received a confirmed of payment in full.

Currency: All prices, fees, and charges displayed on our website are listed in Euros (€). We do not accept other currencies.

Taxes: Pursuant to the Dutch Small Business Scheme (KOR/Kleineondernemersregeling), VAT is not charged.

Shipping Fees: A standard shipping fee of €6 applies to all orders within the Netherlands. 

Authorization: By placing an order, the Consumer confirms they are at least 18 years of age and authorized to use the chosen payment method.

4. Right of Withdrawal and Cancellations

Perishable Goods: The right of withdrawal does not apply to our products, as they are fresh food items with a limited shelf life.

Cancellations: Cancellations may be requested via email and are only valid if the production process has not yet begun.

5. Delivery and Execution

Shipping Provider: We deliver throughout the Netherlands via PostNL only.

Address Accuracy: The Consumer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address. We are not liable for spoiled or lost products resulting from address errors or failed delivery attempts.

Freshness & Delays: We guarantee that products are fresh when handed to the carrier. Yume Cookies is not liable for transit delays caused by PostNL or other unforeseen circumstances.

Shipping Day: Yume Cookies reserves the right to change or stop the shipping day at any time. We are not liable to the Consumer or any third party for any changes or postponed shipping date.

Third-Party Delivery: The Consumer bears all risks (including spoilage or loss) when requesting delivery to a third-party address.

Self-pickup: Yume Cookies operates as a delivery-only service; self-pickup is not available.

Returned Packages: Because our cookies are baked fresh to order and have an expiration date, returned packages must be thrown away. Therefore, we do not offer refunds or replacements for returned packages.

Handling and Liability: While we take every precaution to ensure The Consumer’s order is packaged securely, the delicate nature of our artisanal cookies means they are prone to breakage during transit. By completing the purchase, The Consumer acknowledged that damage or breakage may occur and agreed that Yume Cookies is not liable for items damaged by the carrier. Consequently, Yume Cookies do not offer refunds, returns, or replacements for cookies that arrive broken.

6. Complaints and Warranty

If a product arrives significantly below quality standards, the consumer must notify us via email within 24 hours of receipt. Please include a description and photographic evidence of the product and packaging.

Resolution: Yume Cookies reserves the right to assess the validity of the complaint and may offer a discount or refund at our discretion.

Usage & Liability: 

Yume Cookies is not liable for the Consumer’s and/or third-party consumers health issues or dissatisfaction arising from:

Failure to follow storage instructions.

Consumption after the "Best Before" (THT) date.

Allergic reactions where the allergen was clearly disclosed on the website.

7. Force Majeure

Yume Cookies is not liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, illness, theft, technical failures, or supply chain disruptions.

The Consumer data is used solely for order fulfillment and essential communication. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further details.

9. Intellectual Property & Conduct

Content Usage: All content on this website, including images and text, is the property of Yume Cookies. Unlawful use of this content or the brand name for unauthorized advertising is prohibited.

Accuracy of Information: While we strive for perfection, we do not warrant that all information on the website is error-free. Reliance on website content is at the Consumer's own risk.
